Stuart Brown has just returned from his Singapore Trip where he shot some of the world’s most stunning architecture with the large format camera, images have already been processed by the lab who did a really quick job especially considering that three different types of film were used each of which requiring a different chemical developing process. I have already committed 12 images to the scanner and should be able to publish these next week. There are stunning images of the new Marina Bay Gardens and their installation of Super Trees, new images of Marina Bay Sands Resort, the Art-Science Museum, Merlion Statue, Double Helix Bridge, Colonial Buildings and others in the pipeline.
I am very excited by this set of images, as Fuji have discontinued Velvia 50 film for large format cameras I have been forced to experiment with other emulsions. On this Singapore trip I used Fuji’s Provia 100F film for the first time and am very pleased with the results and exposure latitude shown, I have also used Kodak Portra 160 and Ilford HP5+ film which I tested in Shrewsbury Abbey before travelling to Singapore. Please look at my Google+ page to see the test shots.
